Wd Passport For Mac Light Blinking

My wd passport is not unrecognized,the light keep flashing but not blinking,it just work fine yesterday and today the problem come,please help me. Flashing lights on an older WD My Book or My Passport. What do the blinking or flashing lights on the WD My Book and My Passport drives mean? Power/Activity LED Behavior for the My Book World Edition drive. Program can be installed by accessing the WD My Book external hard drive or the installation CD and the clicking on the Mac folder.
So far I have tried changing the cable, changing the port and trying on another PC but same thing.
Incidentally, this is the third WD Passport. Both of my previous hard drive decided to stop working abruptly and they were fairly new as well. I lost a lot of data both times and I dread this is about to happen again. At this point i'm so furious at WD, I would literally work there and yell at them if I
loved near to their HQ
Edit: It's now showing up under device manager - Disk drives. Still, it's not showing up in my computer nor Disk management.

Capacity Gauge:
When the device is turned on, the Capacity Gauge indicates space used on the drive by fully illuminating six sections in an upward vertical direction. Each section represents approximately 17 percent of drive capacity. Because this drive is preformatted, the first section is illuminated upon installation.

For Macintosh, the WD Drive Manager program can be installed by accessing the WD My Book external hard drive or the installation CD and the clicking on the Mac folder, select the language of your choice, then double-click on the WD Button Manager Software disk image that contains the installer.
For Windows, the autorun menu appears only on the first installation of the drive. If AutoPlay is disabled on your computer or if you are connecting the WD My Book external drive to another computer, you must install the utilities manually. Open up the WD My Book external hard drive or installation CD from My Computer or Windows Explorer. Double-click on the My Book folder, the WD_Windows_Tools folder, and then Setup or Setup.exe.
